"Medium chestnut brown" my hair looks maroon in direct sunlight. Reddish brown (below photo) when under a roof. How do I achieve the color shown on box at home?

Im 40 and getting more gray by the year. I cant afford $300 every month to get my grays colored. Can anyone recommend a way to achieve the color shown by the model at home?
