I’m trying to better understand how IOPs actually operate in practice, especially from people who have worked in or helped run them.

A few things I’m curious about:

- What does your day-to-day model look like? (group structure, patient mix, staffing, scheduling, etc.)

- Is your program standalone IOP, or part of a broader continuum (OP thru res.)?

- How common is it to see “IOP-first” or predominantly IOP-focused clinics vs full-continuum practices?

- What tends to be the hardest part operationally? (staffing, census ramp, referrals, payer issues, etc.)

- For those who’ve been involved in building or launching programs, what surprised you most? What advice would you give for someone who wants to do this?

Any candid insight (good or bad) would be really helpful. Thank you!!
