I received a very nice offer ($100 less than asking) for an unusual vintage piece. The buyer has only been on the app with some items for sale for 10 mos. They have sold one item in that time. They have zero reviews as a buyer or seller. I've been burned a few times by scammers on other platforms not Depop. Both times for vintage items with tons of likes. Once they damaged the dress and claimed it was stained ( not true) and once they had the item forwarded to another address ( I was reimbursed by the platform) but it caused me a lot of stress before they eventually sent me my payment. I am wary of selling this vintage dress because they did not even try to lowball or negotiate just flat out offered a very fair offer. I only have a few more hours to accept. I'm inclined to decline even though I would like to sell. I thought of messaging the buyer to say I appreciate the offer and would love to seek to them but it is my policy to document the entire transaction with new photos and the shipping label the packaging etc before sending. I also wonder what Depop's customer service is like should this buyer end up being a bad one.Hate to sound so negative but I have really learned the hard way. I appreciate any constructive advice. My gut says no.
