Is it possible that, because we don’t need to conform as much, that mental illnesses are becoming more statistically significant? In other words, through individuation, at least in western societies, is it possible that self-reporting and public attention are more significant?

If we live in an infinite and probabilistic universe, does it follow that Nietzsche’s Eternal Recurrence is guaranteed? In an infinite universe, anything that is possible will happen eventually given enough time. Because we know this exact experience is a tangible possibility, then with infinite time, we will all experience this exact reality the exact same way.
My understanding of god is that it is a psychological projection of humanity as masters of the universe. God shares so many traits with humanity across religions, and I don’t see why an entity like that would be comprehensible at all. I’m curious if simulation theory isn’t exactly the same thing? Just a modernized technologically filtered projection with humans, again, being the masters of the cosmos/reality. Or at the very least, being able to achieve the machinations of the highest level of control over reality we can conceive of.
