Hi everyone,
I'm having a persistent issue with Dolphin on KDE Plasma. Every time I reboot my PC, all my folder customizations (custom icons and folder colors set to yellow) disappear and revert to the default theme colors.
The details:
* The weird part: If I right-click on a folder that should be yellow, it suddenly "wakes up" and changes to the correct color/icon immediately.
* The .directory file is correct: I’ve checked the hidden .directory files inside the folders, and they correctly show Icon=folder-yellow. The configuration is being saved, but Dolphin/Plasma isn't reading it on startup.
* Environment: My filesystem is Linux-native (Ext4/Btrfs), so it's not a partition compatibility issue.
* No Baloo: I am not using Baloo (file indexer) on my system.
* What I've tried:
* Enabling "Remember display properties for each folder" in Dolphin settings.
* Clearing icon-cache.kcache and running kbuildsycoca5/6.
* Disabling folder previews.
* Changing icon themes (Breeze, etc.).
It seems like Plasma is loading a cached version of the UI on boot and ignoring the .directory files until I manually interact with the folders.
Does anyone know how to force Dolphin to respect these customizations on startup without having to right-click everything?
Thanks in advance!
