[PS2?/Xbox?][2000s] Dark multiplayer third-person game with small puppet/construct character using a sword
Platform(s): PS2/Xbox/GameCube (not sure which)
Genre: Third-person action/horror multiplayer game
Estimated year of release: Early to mid 2000s (possibly slightly later)
Graphics/art style: Dark/gritty aesthetic, realistic-ish for the era, NOT cartoony. I vaguely remember Japanese/Asian text in menus or loading screens.
Notable characters:
The main thing I remember was a playable character that:
- was about half the height of normal characters
- looked like a puppet/doll or living construct
- only the head and arms seemed “alive”
- had some kind of wooden/mechanical contraption body, maybe on wheels or a frame
- used a sword/blade weapon
- could jump on people and stab them
Notable gameplay mechanics:
- local multiplayer
- third-person camera behind the character
- NPC enemies in the map besides the player-controlled characters
Other details:
I barely remember this because I only played it once at a family reunion as a kid while the older kids were playing it 😂
Anyone know what this might be?
