Hey! I am writing a clan/group that worship the sun and have powers surrounding it. The context is set in a modern world similar to our own. Upon research on symbology and imagery to represent the group, I learned that the celtic cross is an ancient symbol that represents the sun, but it was appropriated by nazis later on. My question is if using this symbol to represent my fictional clan is distasteful, as I'd be using the original sun cross wich looks like a circle and not the exact one the nazis did. Still if it is deemed wrong I can use another symbol altogether. Thanks for the advice!
