Hello! I received 2 messages within 30 minutes of each other yesterday to reject me from a New Grad-Software Engineer, which I had not applied to. Two weeks ago I had applied to a Data Analyst role asking for ~3 years of experience and a different Software role asking for ~2 years of experience at this same company. Seeing as I have 1 year of experience, I am guessing they just transferred me to this other new grad role and that the rejections are really for these two other roles I had actually applied to.
Idk, like it makes sense to be transferred but also is this something that happens often on application tracking sites (I feel like I should have just been rejected from my original roles, especially since at least the one I applied to was not really related to the transferred role)? I have done hundreds of apps and have never been rejected from something I did not apply to before now, but maybe this is the first time an application I sent has been transferred to a different role?
