2 week post removal NSFW
I got my wisdom teeth out 2 weeks ago. I had tons of swelling and pain and it all went away expect for one of my bottom sockets which got stitched shut and was deeper in the bone. About 3 days ago I noticed a HORRIBLE smell from that one socket and a taste it in my mouth every once in a while. I called my dentist and he thought it was dry socket but once he saw he said the tissue looked good rinsed my mouth out and sent me on my way. I’ve been doing salt water rinses flossing all the things and I can’t get the smell to go away. It’s a dull pain that travels towards my ear but it’s not to intense. My gums along the molar that neighbors the socket is slightly pulling away and I think the smell is coming from it. When I use a water pick gently on that molar I can smell it way more. Does this look infected and when should the smell be going away. I don’t want to be dramatic and call the dentist again but I feel like I shouldn’t have this smell still.
