Im an Ork player who wishes to make a dark angels army when the 11e box comes out.

Can yall guide me on some best practices with purchases around a death wing army. Im aware the combat patrol seems to be a no go from most peoples perspective. Are there any other value boxes out there that i can use with the 11e box? I am obsessed with the death wing knights so i plan to go heavy into terminators with my list. Appreciate you all ahead of time.

Wanted to ask what peoples thoughts were on what units will fall and rise due to the new cover change happening?

Personally im hoping the predator destructors ability helps more but i cant decide if its worse or not. I like watching general dannis go over the stats sheets for damage and such but is there anything you guys are excited to try or are sad you think it might suck for 11e’s plan for cover?

New to the hobby, about two games in and had a question about knights

I know the defiler is all the rage right now and fills a roll we didnt have before. But it had me
curious about the knights. How come no lists tend to include the knights? Some have some insane shooting and melee capabilities and with way more wounds than a defiler. Not to say they seem better, but they seem to fit that roll well. Is it an issue mainly with stratagems or something + points cost? It just seems to me they are very capable of being an absolute beast as a long range fire support piece or a brawler to soak damage in the middle.

Im looking at the war dogs and see that they come with 2 models. I feel like i can us the legs from the second model, and make 4 legs angled to make them look crab like. I dont play tournaments and i just play with a hand-full of friends who would be cool with proxies.

I would also get the right base size and model it as close as possible in size. Anyone here make a proxy yet? If so what did you use?

New to the hobby and feel like my painting is coming along really well but god damn it painting glowing effects kill me. Ive just been putting a white on the eyes and then a contrast skaven warplock green (not the name of the paint but dont have it in front of me) and it looks mid at best. What recipe/process can i use to make good glowing effects on small parts like eyes, plasma guns, or open armor?

I dont have a air brush its all free hand so free hand recommendations preferred
