Aftermarket grill options that mount to hood instead of Bumper?

My particular '05 Mazda 3 Sport has it's grill and emblem mounted to the hood but all the aftermarket grill options are for models that mount to the bumper.

Are there any grills (preferably open style or mesh style) that mount how mine does?

Do worn brake pads stop as well as brand new brake pads?

What I mean is if I have 2 sets of brake pads identical in every way except one set is close to used up but still functional and not yet metal to metal, and the other is brand new. Will there be any difference in braking performance/feel between the two?

Or is it more of a binary they work until they don't anymore when it comes to brake pads?
