SMART Train
On June 2nd, we’ll have a chance to vote ‘Yes’ on Measure B so that we can keep the SMART train in our community. I hope that all of your readers will take a ride and experience the joy of flying down the tracks surrounded by students, seniors, commuters and, at the right time of day, party-goers. As we zip by the congestion on 101, we’re all happy to be relaxing in our comfortable seats and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Not to mention, we
are not contributing to traffic jams.
If joy and delight don’t move you- then think about all of the economic benefits: it has doubled the communities investment by securing $735 M in outside grants; provides easier commutes, more customers for local businesses, and support for jobs. 75% of SMART’s expenditures stay in the local economy.
