Not sure if it's the right place to post, but here goes. Wife and I are renting a small house (says 1000sq ft of liveable space) consisting of a main room, kitchen, bathroom, and 2 bedrooms, plus a full sized basement.

The heat pump is in the basement, with only a singular 4x10" intake right next to the filter. On the main floor, there are no air intakes, only air discharge registers, and the thermostat is in the middle of the house where no registers exist.

We often find that the basement is 10 degrees cooler than the living floor, which doesn't seem like much, but there are pockets on the main floor where the temperature reaches 5-8 degrees higher/lower than our thermostat is set.

We intend to get a couple of ceiling fans to help with air circulation on the main floor, but what would be a good solution for air exchange between the basement and main floor? We were thinking of setting a box fan at the top of the stairs to force air down there.

TIA.

Hey y'all, I've recently noticed that a couple of my siamese algae eaters stripes are fading. What could be the cause of this? I think that they're about 6 years old.

I have a 2014 F150 with the 5.0L engine, about 150k miles.

Two years ago, I noticed some piston blow-by (one of my cylinders was scored). I had the cylinders bored and rebuilt the engine using almost all new parts. The only thing original that I can think of is the block, uppers, crankshaft, and camshafts.

My buddy and I followed all the instructions for reassembly from the Haynes manual (except the part where we popped the transmission pump out when re-installing, but that's a different story).

Now, I'm experiencing the ticking noise that's in the video. It's not every time that I notice it, but probably about half.

I also notice the noise if I'm at high rpm in a lower gear (mainly 2nd or 3rd) like when towing.

The video captures the noise from a cold start. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: you can really only hear it at the beginning of the video, but i assure you, it was there the whole time.

I ordered some media for my filter back in early March. I didn't recieve the order by the expected date, and reached out to customer support because I was set to move before it would arrive. They assured me that they would update the mailing address and would be no issue since it hadn't shipped yet, so I went on my way.

Fast forward two weeks, and I hadn't heard anything about my order, so I emailed them again. They said a "technical issue" occurred and it was in transit to my old address, so they were going to recall the shipment and send me a new one.

10 days later and still no update, I reached out again. They said my order was in their queue and set to ship out that week (mid-April).

Now, just yesterday, I attempted to email them again and I recieved an email saying that their email address does not exist or cannot receive mail.

They wouldn't really block me for asking about the status of my order that they've been sitting on, would they?

Had anyone else had any similar dealing with them?
