It turns out Citi Bank has been printing the wrong member numbers on their credit cards they've been printing recently.

If you got a new card and have used it when shopping, review your member number at the top and make sure it matches yours. Mine was associated with another membership and they had to manually re add the items from a purchase to my account so I got the 2%.

I'm assuming Costco is doing what they need to do to fix it but I'd definitely just be aware right now bc if you're an executive member with a new Citi card another account might be getting the purchases. Keep your receipts

I had no problem at the gas station though.
