Stock bolts or coilovers

I wanna lower my c5, but I don't want to absolutely slam it. I'm looking for a more performance oriented fitment so the stock bolts will lower it enough, I just get mixed signals about the drivability. I don't do anything crazy with it, practically daily it during the warmer seasons so I don't want it to ride terribly, I might track it later on but I'm not going to get super competitive.

It would be significantly cheaper to lower it on stock bolts and get new shocks, I was planning on getting bilstein b8's later on but I've been getting a ton of mixed answers.

Like I said the stock bolts will lower it enough for me, so I don't really see a point in spending $2,000+ on coils if I can just get better shocks? But I'm far from an expert so I would love to hear y'all's opinions. Would it be better to get coilovers or will I get the same results with the stock bolts and new shocks?

How do people get their c5's so low??

I never understood how people get their c5's so low without overheating and/or constantly scraping the air dam. Do they just deal with it or are there mods you can do to remove the air damn and still have proper cooling?

I would love to lower my car this much but I already scrape everywhere so I probably never will, but I'm still very curious.

▲ 0 r/tires

I've had this question for a while. My friends say that if you drive in any type of cold you shouldn't get summer tires, which makes sense if you're driving through snowy roads, but what about those times of year where it gets cold but there's no snow yet? Like fall or early spring.

I guess my question is if you don't drive in the snow but still in the cold, are all season tires a no go? I know absolutely nothing about tires so I apologize if this is a dumb question 💔
