Navigating pull lists as a student
I mainly buy trades and graphic novels but I’ve decided I want to go from an occasional floppy buyer to a pull list subscriber for the DC big 3, Superman, Batman, and GL (getting both the main Superman and Batman titles and action comics / detective comics). The issue is I live halfway across Canada from my home to study during the academic year. Both towns thank god have an LCS very close to where I live in either town, but something tells me running a pull list with a 4 months / 8 months schedule is a bit of a pain in the ass. I’ve also gotta think about the 3 week winter break where I’d have to pause the pull lists again or ask them to hold it for me. I’d really rather do floppies than get a digital subscription because I just really don’t like reading comics off a screen to be honest, hurts my eyes.
Anybody have any experience with something like this or advice for how I should go about conducting it? Best practices, how much notice I should give before pausing and resuming, etc?
