Hey y'all. Using a throwaway account.

For the last 3 months (basically on the dot), my stool has been very dark, almost dark green in color. I tried to look up the cause but I kept seeing a lot of the reasons attributed to a leafy green diet. I try to be a healthy eater, but a leafy green eater I am not, and definitely not to the point that I think I would have dark green stool. My favorite veg is Cauliflower so not even green! My point is, I could eat a hamburger and still have dark green stool the next day. No matter what I eat now, my stool is a dark green. It also looks like it may be chalky in texture by the way it breaks up in water. As far as movement habits go, I feel like my BMs are more normal since the first thing I do in the morning is have my BM although I do feel like I go more during the day than I used to, even if its just a little bit. I am not constipated but I do occasionally experience watery stool. I don't feel any different. No fatigue or anything out of the usual.

I am:

38 afab

5'7"

~150 lbs

Meds:
No otc medications

Vitamins: D3 + K2, Magnesium Glycinate (by doctors orders for vit d deficiency), acidophilus probiotic (I heard this helps with bartholin duct cysts so I have been taking it as a preventive measure as I deal with bartholins one to two times a year). Metamucil x2/ day for the last 5 or so years.

Taking: NORETHINDRONE .35 mg for the last 10-12 months

Diet: Pretty normal. I eat take out sometimes. A lot of the time, I cook at home. I try to keep my diet high in fiber & veg. I don't eat as well as I could but I do the best I can given my circumstances.

I have heard that rectal cancer is rising in millennials so I guess I'm just wondering if I should spend the money to go get a colonoscopy. I really really can not afford it but I'd rather have a doctor give me the go ahead instead of wasting money for a doctor to tell me it's my apparent leafy green diet.

Thank you in advance.

ETA: I also read that it could be a bacterial thing but that usually comes with other side affects? If anyone has any insight to those affects, I would love to know. I just feel like I'm at a loss.
