WCA ESA report.

Hi everyone! Does anyone know how long it takes for a report to come back from esa once requested? I've been putting a support group and couldn't get through on the phone to request it so I've done it by post.

I'm putting together evidence for my pip appeal. However, dwp are due to reply quite soon and I'd like to see the differences in the reports.

I know they use different criteria. However, if one says that I can't walk 50 m and the other doesn't, then there's a flawed report.

Work capability assessment report

ESA Success with timeline.

Fit notes handed in for the whole time.

Based in Wales.

September 18th 2025 applied

October 31st 2025 first contact from work coach.

March 4th 2026 phone WCA with capita

(This assessment was lost due to technical issues this is still being investigated by capita as I have made a complaint)

April 15th 2026 Second WCA by phone. Was cut short because they had enough information.

April 20th 2026 DWP we have received your WCA.

May 4th 2026 Awarded support group.

May 8th 2026 Back payment received.

Just waiting for my PIP appeal now!

I am in the process of applying for CB ESA claim started in September and have had my assessment, I checked my online benefits account and saw my payment amount has changed. So I can pressure I have been put into a support group. I suffer from arthritis in hands, knees & hips as well as other difficulties that forced me to stop working after 35 years.

Does anyone have an idea how long it is between assessments once awarded?

Okay so I was trying to see if my work capability assessment had been looked at yet as I'm waiting for a decision on a support group. And these new bits seem to have appeared. Is this normal because it wasn't there before.
