Layout advice needed: sectional, dining, maximum hosting potential 🪩🛋️
SOS: Moving into a new apartment & i’m frazzled.
I need to furnish the entire living space and I’m starting with the couch… but I’m stressing about the layout. Help!
My non-negotiables:
* A sectional or L-shaped couch (because yes, we lounge hard)
* Tons of seating for friends—hosting is my life
The tricky part: bar & kitchen behind, a window in the middle of the wall… now I can’t figure out:
* Where the TV should go
* Which side the chaise should be on
* How to maximize seating without making the space feel chopped up
Also open to ideas: kitchen nook for dining, or squeeze a dining area into the long main room?
If helpful, my style leans Scandinavian / Danish / Mid-Century Modern but colorful cozy and lil eclectic.
Any tips, sketches, “aha!” moments are SO welcome. After a shitty living situation the past year, I’m desperate to make the best of this space and finally something I think of as home. ❤️
