Hi everyone, I'm playing a Druid at level 7 and our party is currently in a building with a sealed underground chamber. Last session I used Earth Glide to go through the floor and inspect the chamber, which is completely filled with water but still contains the furniture and the rest left by the evil corporation that used to own it. There is also a treasure chest in it, which I didn't manage to inspect (so I don't know what it's made of, if wood or stone or metal, which is an issue). We only have half a game day before we have to leave the building so I cannot prepare new spells. However I just remembered that I can Wild Shape into a small Elemental! So I thought I could change into an Earth Elemental, go through the walls until I reach the treasure chest from underneath, glide into it (if it's not made of metal) and take whatever treasure is inside back with me thorough the walls.

As we have never used Elementals in this game (other than fighting a couple of them) I am unsure: would this strategy work? Can Earth Elementals go through wood? Can they carry small items, maybe scrolls or potions, through walls?

As the "Earth Elementals can carry stuff though walls" seems to be a rather undecided topic online, does anyone have any alternative suggestions? None of the other party members can really do much in this situation (a ranger, a sorcerer, and a rogue).

Thanks!
