I got the MK micro pro monitor speakers yesterday and it had this strange response behavior at low volumes, basically missing some sounds as if my attack was too hi up from silence to signal.

I started to investigate and the firmware update promises a fix, so I downloaded one app, then another app, then another app, but the experience during the whole process is terrible, unclear what to do next etc.

I finally got Arc X running and it recognized the speakers via usb (there’s some other app called Irig which promises the same but doesn’t work at all). I managed to run the firmware update on one of the speakers but it failed on the other one. The failed speaker no longer responds to anything, recovery mode fails, end of story.

It’s a really pity, now I have to send it back for a fix, replacement or money back.

The one I managed to update sounds really amazing but what a horrible experience this is out of the box and I notice that many people are having similar issues. Good product with a horrible service is not a good product :(

Hi All,

I bought the Drumbrute Impact as my DT2 is at the service and wanted to try an analog drum machine anyways since a while. It’s a nice machine but the lack of patch memory and lack of trig locks is ruining it for me - so I’m contemplating to send it back and replace it with a different machine.

I have the impression that the only way to reasonable use the Drumbrute Impact is either to jam with it for a single pattern or to record the patches directly into a daw as they fit. I don’t find the solution in between.

How do you guys use it in your rig?

What would be a good alternative? Syntakt or the Roland TR-1000?

I use the KSP and 2 polys in my rig and the DT2 which pulls everything together.
