How does the Town change during each era?

Obviously when the current lot (and Victor) turned up there was a diner, motel, etc. But in previous iterations there wouldn't have been those things, in the Civil War era, etc. So how were these built? Who built them?

I'm currently driving a 14 year old Kia that is now starting to have regular issues that effectively have rendered it a dead car driving (car equivalent of Dead MAn Walking). It needa around £800+ of repairs and its worth about £180 as scrap. It costs me around £220 a month in fuel, and £45 for tax and insurance so £265 a month roughly, without repairs.

I'm looking at salary sacrifice to step into the EV market. The costs include all maintenance, tax, insurance, etc.

In terms of miles I do approximately 540 miles a fortnight (week 1 209 miles and week 2 339 miles). On each Thursday I do approximately 144 miles. The cars I'm looking at are as follows:

Jaecoo 5 - £400 a month all in (not including charging) with a real world range of approximately 170 miles in the winter and 230 miles in the summer according to ev-databaseorg.uk but

Kia EV4 - £473 a month all in (again not including charging) but a range of 260 miles in the winter and up to 360 in the summer combined urban/motorway.

I'd charge at home overnight at say 9p/kwh. A quick Copilot chat reckons I'd need to charge 3 times a week on the Jaecoo (approx £31.50 a month) and once a week on the EV4 with a top up charge in week 2 when my mileage is higher (approx £26.90 a month).

I guess the question to EV owners is "Is the extra £73 a month for the EV4 worth the extra range and less frequent need for charging?"

It’s set to turn off after 10 minutes and I want to extend the timer, but I can’t figure out how to remove the cover to get at the gubbins inside.

I don’t want to try and pull too hard as knowing me I’ll break it. I assume it’s pretty easy to do?

I don’t know the manufacturer either so can’t google it.
