Am christan guy dating a muslim women
I’m an 18-year-old Christian guy who’s been dating an 18-year-old Muslim girl for almost a year now. We got close at the start of our final year in high school. She initially wasn’t into dating, but after we stayed friends and texted for a couple of months, she fell for me too. We officially started dating in June 2025 and have been together since.
We truly love each other, respect one another (including her religion), and have amazing understanding. During our relationship we also lost our virginity to each other. Towards the end of our final exams, our parents caught a hint that we’re dating. Both families are rich, conservative, and religious — mine Christian, hers Muslim.
Her mom really hates the idea of her dating a non-Muslim and has already threatened that she’ll get her married soon if she finds out we’re still together. My mom is also very negative about it. Things have calmed down for now, but we’re worried about the future.
We want to approach our parents properly instead of hiding forever. How should we go about this? Has anyone been in a similar interfaith relationship with conservative families? Any advice would mean a lot.
