Apologies if my question is a bit of a confusing read, I'm having some troubles writing down my thoughts.
I love my new (and first) Seiko [SRPH87K1], have been using it daily since buying it about 2 months ago. The only small issue I seem to be having with it, is how easy it is for me to get it smudgy/greasy. Usually not like dirty, but smudgy enough for me to want to clean it. Or I might just be too obsessed with wanting it to always look perfect, I don't know...
I do try to look after the watch and take great care of it, I don't use it when there might be a risk for something more "heavy use" or "dangerous" for Seiko, then I get my previous daily (of 2 years), Casio G-SHOCK GA-100-1A4, which has raised edges (unlike my Seiko), so those probably provide some help against greasiness.
When I used the G-shock as my daily, I didn't look at it as much and didn't notice it getting so greasy/dirty, so that might be a potential reason why I've noticed this on Seiko.
But ever since getting my Seiko, I've always had to clean it many times a day with the microfiber cloth, which (thank god) I bought together with it.
How much is "many"? Almost every time when I want to look and admire it, usually when my watch has been under a sleeve. That means, that I need to have the microfiber cloth in my pocket, if I want my Seiko to look beautifully.
I also might have more greasy hands than average people (judging by my phone screen), but that's just my thoughts, cause I'm not just touching the watch all the time.
So, that's why I was wondering, since I've seen so many beautiful posts here with other Seikos, how do you guys keep them looking clean in your daily usage? Do you also carry the cloth with yourself or do you just clean the watch right before taking a picture with it?
I currently don't have pictures of it being smudged up, I like to admire it when it's prestine.
