I was admitted off the waitlist today! I am so excited because this is one of my top schools and it is very personal for me because I have went through so much over the past few months. Senior year was genuinely the hardest year of my life personally and academically as an IBDP student. Finally seeing light at the end of this tunnel.
I plan to major in Civic Studies and hopefully also major or minor in Theatre or philosophy.
I’m holding on to so much hope for Tufts because it’s one of my top schools and I think my interests match with how they are focused on civic engagement, and I didn’t really have any luck with my other reaches. I’m submitting my deposit to Clark University (Worcester) where I’ll double major in Theatre and History and I’m happy about going there, but I’m highly anticipating waitlist movement from Tufts and hoping I get in from the waitlist.
I looked at trends for the past few years and it looks like compared to other schools, I might have a decent chance getting off the waitlist but I’m not sure especially since this year was a record for applications.. also i demonstrated need for aid so I hope that that doesn’t mess up my chances.
My stats are kind of competitive I would say (3.8 weighted GPA, Rank 9/700, 720 MATH 700 RW SAT, Full IBDP course load)
Any advice? Info?
