After much trial and tribulation, I have a valid PP account in Mexico. I was trying to set it up to bypass the fact that I am having trouble purchasing online with US debit card. I have linked it to the US checking account for that debit card.

However:

1. PP will NOT allow me to add the associated debit VISA card because it has a US billing address. I cannot change the card's billing address.
2. PP will NOT allow me to set the bank account as my primary payment.
3. When using PP online (e.g. subscribe to Disney+ streaming service), I am required to put in a credit card anyway. See number 1.

Am I backed into the corner?

1. Get a Mexican bank account/debit card for general use, which removes any need for PP functionality. This one isn't that simple, requires registering for tax purposes, which takes time.
2. For Mexican readers here: I know I can subscribe to D+ with Telcel, but I need to convert my account from rechargeable to full service. I will be doing that when I can get to the one customer service center in my city, which isn't very close.

Dammit, I just want to watch Daredevil...
