I am a few months in the process of a divorce with my ex-wife but we (along with our two kids) had a planned vacation for many months beforehand to Cancun. I have been seeing a new girl and while we aren’t dating yet, it’s getting more serious slowly. I’ve been on the fence about going because my kids have been really wanting me to go badly and my ex-wife has stated she is fine for me to go because it’s what our kids want and me and her can avoid each other but be cordial for the kids. Also feel on the fence with going because it feels like deception and false hope to my kids and even my ex-wife (even if she says it’s not when I mention it to her). Also, I’m very conflicted on whether to tell the girl I’m seeing that my ex-wife is going to vacation with me and kids. I feel it’s good to say something about my soon to be ex-wife going on vacation with me, but also not because that girls isn’t my girlfriend yet and then I feel she lose all interest and wouldn’t understand at all if I did just tell her the truth and why we’re going. What should I do? Me and ex wife are in separate rooms.
