looking to upgrade my monitor
currently i have a random chinese amazon brand monitor “z-edge” i paid about $120 for it and it runs 240hz and its a 24.5”, however i absolutely hate it. my old monitor was a prechen, what i think is another random amazon brand but i actually really like that monitor it was also 240hz and the same size but the screen got broken and they no longer sell it.
my issues with my current monitor are that the color is just NEVER right no matter what i do, i mainly play rdr2 on my pc but i also use it for gta on my ps5. the colors are always way too dark or super washed out ive tried nearly every combination with the settings and just nothing looks right. the most tolerable setting i can get it on is still way too dark because whenever i play j can barely see anything inside shadows its just pitch black, which also keeps my from being able to play at nighttime during either game (mostly rdr2, which sucks because im going for platinum and 100% game and compendium completion)
im not sure if i should go with a 4k monitor or a 240hz, rd and gta are really all i play but i do like my red dead graphics to run very high and well which is important to me, but i have never played on a 4k monitor and im not sure how much of a difference i will
notice. Im only looking to spend around $300 which i know isnt a lot when it comes to monitors but its all i can do and would just like to get something better for at least the meantime.
