Just got my betta and shrimp after cycling, do you think this tank will be ok for the both of them?

This is my first ever genuine tank, and I want to make it so that my fish have a good quality of life. Do you think this is too much or am I ok to add these?
It’s been 2 weeks since I’ve started cycling, algae started popping up about 4-5 days ago. I heard that algae in a cycling tank is a good sign, but should I try to get rid of it while cycling, or just leave it until the tank is cycled enough to bring in some pigmy cories?
Is there any way I could have done better, I feel like it looks rather flat in real life. Is there anyway I could have done better? For context this is a 10 gallon tank that I plan to house a betta fish, snails, and a few shrimp in.
