Were putting a pond in our backyard. We'd really like to have a resident turtle or two. If a turtle a comfortable spot will they stay on their own? Or is a fence necessary?

Examined with a magnifying glass and compared to online images. 98% certain it is mouse poop. When pushed with a pen tip bounced away rather than crush, so hard and dry?

No other signs of activity in this room or other parts of house. House occupied by two humans and 2 small terrier mix dogs- im surprised they haven't gone after any rodents if they're present.

Could this be a scout who came and went to find a better spot or is that wishful thinking?
