My mom is in the early stages of Alzheimer’s. She is a life long crafter and continues to crochet, but now it’s the only thing she does. It’s like she’s working in a sweatshop, continuously lol

Among the MANY things she makes are these squares. She calls them trivets or hot pads or potholders but they are really just random squares that aren't all the same size. They are all cotton and I am hoping someone can give m ideas what I can do with these.

Is there something to make these into by joining them that I just can't figure out?
