Abandoning a 4 year old unit

4 years ago we replaced our 20 year old unit with a Goodman. The company that installed it was a one man operation owner and worker company who directly worked for the home warranty people. It was him and his brother. Thats it. No office. No logo. We looked them up after install. He talked and sounded confident so we went forward. Then 4 months later during winter the unit caught fire. Left the install menu in the unit fell down and caught fire. Then when summer started we learned all the coolant leaked out. Now we have new hvac company servicing unit after poor instal. They topped it off 3 times in these 2 years after initial company installed unit. 4th time I asked them to perform a leak test. They did so and couldn't find anything. Supervisor came out next day and repeated leak test and said he found and repaired it. Theyre not a poorly rated company either. They have good reviews and are market average for pricing. At this point im 9k in for purchase and about 5 to 6k in for service calls and refills. And once again all the coolant is gone 1 month after they refilled it the last time. In a moment of frustration i said fuck it next homeowner can deal with it and just bought window units. Is there anything I can do to recoup anything?

Is there any value in the scrap or parts of condensor? Do hvac companies buy them for parts or scrap. I feel like I should be able to get something of value out of a less than 5 year old condenser. Is it worth waiting a year and saving up to replace the condenser? What if the leak is in the line since first leak test showed no leak. Only Supervisor "found" the leak. There's no access to the line from it to inside unit besides ripping out sheetrock.
