Going out before fully vaccinated
So after my puppies second shot we started walking him outside everyday and going to the beach almost every day ( yes we go to a dogs beach) when i used to live in europe 15 years ago i had a gsd and the vet there used to tell me that the second shot is enough for good protection against parvo, apparently that the third shot is just to make extra money that it is not needed at all.
Here though in Australia vets tell me that the third vaccine is extremely compulsory and is needed for full protection.
My pup goes to the beach runs around wherever he wants we just dont let him go on the very dry sand at the back, he goes on walks HEAPS, he is a extremely energetic pup and needs to get his energy out.
Yesterday we went to the vet to get his last shot and guess what.. They told us he needs to be 16 weeks to get it ( hes 15weeks and 5 days) Ok i understand if theres a rule that they need to stick to for him to be 16 or over but common man its 2 days we drove so far our vet is pretty far from our house, i understand if theres a rule but i searched up that he can be between 14-16 weeks to get it.
So what do you think about the vaccinations and going out before hes fully vaccinated should i stop, because sometimes i get really worried about parvo..
Oh just to mention i saw mutliple dog poops all over the beach
