
Brand new iPhone 17 has issue, yet nobody feels responsible
So I got a brand new iPhone 17 and noticed that it has the depicted issue on the phone screen when I took the device out of the box. I went to a local authorized Apple Partner store and they told me that the can’t do anything about it, as the damage was within the specifications? They referred me to a genuine Apple Store, which is a 4 hour train ride away.
Before going there I tried calling up apple support but they also told me to go to the genuine Apple Store.
Anyway, unfortunately while driving to the Apple Store my train got canceled which resulted in me being 15min late for my appointment. At the store they told me that because of my delay (trains in Germany are unreliable af) my appointment got canceled and I could wait 3 hours or come back another day.
I am speechless. Just wanted to get that out there. I honestly don’t know what to do next. I can’t drive back and forth over and over again, each time taking me 4 hours (plus expenses for the train ride) for a damage on a *brand new* fresh out of the box phone. Maybe anybody has an idea on what to do next?
