Argument for top: Toplaners scale/snowball best given they can get to level 20, so the earlier they can join the rest of the map the better.

Argument for mid: It opens up the map for your team allowing easier access to get safe vision and secure objectives.

Argument for bot: It allows your botlane (2 players) to come mid earlier and apply more pressure on the map.

Is there available data anywhere on this?

Imgur Link - First 25 games after Reset Stats

I ended split 1 of season 2026 at Master 297LP.

I am a jungler. Here is my opgg: An Special One OPGG

The image is the breakdown of the split of allies and enemies, based on the end ranks of the players last split, across my first 25 games along with the likelihood of that matchup occurring and the probability that my team would win.

I have played with 4 GMs and played against 5GMs + 1 Low Challenger. I have won 13 out of 25 games with the model predicting 12.07 wins so far, with a decent correlation. I have only lost 1 game where the model had my team as favourites, and have won 3 games where the model had us as underdogs.

I built a tool based on an adjusted ELO system to calculate win probabilities of all of the different possible matchups that could occur after the reset.

The tool buckets players across 6 categories:

  • High Challenger (HC): 2500LP+ (80 players)
  • Low Challenger (LC): 2000-2500LP (220 players)
  • Grandmaster (GM): 1500-2000LP (700 players)
  • High Master (HM): 1000-1500LP (1500 players)
  • Mid Master (MM): 500-1000LP (5000 players)
  • Low Master (LM): 0-500LP (23500 players)

Here is a website I made where you can play around with the tool:
