I’ve been deep-diving into the Marathon lore recently, devouring everything on the Wiki, the official blogs, and even here on Reddit. But I’m finding myself hungry for something with more storytelling aspect to it.
The universe has so much potential for character-driven storytelling. I’m looking for actual stories or fan fiction that feel like the SCP Foundation archives or The Backrooms videos—content that focuses on specific events from a personal perspective.
Some stories I was thinking about can be set in:
- The Tau Ceti Colony: What was life like for a normal civilian before and during the invasion?
- The UESC Marathon: Stories from the POV of a security officer or technician trying to navigate the Pfhor invasion.
- The Runner Era: A story following a single Runner through multiple 'runs.' How does it feel to wake up in a new shell? Do they keep their friends? How does the 'extraction' psyche affect them?
