Hey everyone,
I’ve been having a weird issue with my Odin 3 for the past few days. It started overheating even when I’m not using it — just sitting on the home screen, it goes up to ~70 °C.
Another strange thing: when I turn the console OFF, the fan immediately kicks in at full speed, even if the device is cold. It won’t stop unless I turn it back on.
What I’ve tried so far:
Antivirus scans
CPU/GPU monitoring & diagnostic apps
General system checks (everything says the device is “fine”)
Factory reset
Safe mode
Checked developer options
Nothing has worked so far.
I did try a script I found here, which lowered temps from ~70 °C to ~55 °C, but that still feels way too high for just being idle.
Questions:
Has anyone else had this issue?
Could this be firmware-related, a hardware defect, or maybe a fan controller bug?
Any ideas on what else I could try?
