Hello,

I’m a current college student in my second year, I have a part time position as an administrative assistant (WFH, 18/HR). I started there as an intern and got a promotion. I am going to quit tomorrow after about a year. I’m super nervous and I’m looking for advice or guidance

Why I’m quitting

-Burnout, I’m only 20 and I hate my desk job. I hate it. We are switching to in person andI can’t stand it. It’s boring to me, all my adult coworkers, their lives start at 5PM. I’m okay with a desk job, but I just don’t want to start a desk job so early in my life. Is that crazy? But I just feel so lucky for this job because I’m a student and not a lot of kids my age get this opportunity. But I can’t. I literally dread opening my work laptop. I don’t dislike any of my coworkers, and it’s nice but, maybe non profit isn’t for me idk?

Why I’m stressed

-I’m on a contract that doesn’t end til August, am I even allowed to quit?

-the job market is super bad but I don’t need a “serious” job until post grad(??)
