So we have 2 nerites in our 10g. I wish we'd stuck to one, now, because they've literally made the tank spotless. I've been trying different food to see if they'll eat something other than biofilm/algae, but so far they ignore all of it.
We have crab cuisine for shrimp, Shrimpy Party, algae wafers, and community plus/soilent green repashy. Even tried blanched zucchini. I've tried all of it, and haven't seen them eat any. I also have dosed with bacter ae.
I originally made snello with community repashy/calcium/baby food, but no takers, so i got the second one and tried that. It doesnt hold as well as community plus, so it disintegrated into dust the first time I put it in the tank. At least one of them did eat that, albeit accidentally since it was coating the plants. Obviously that's not good for the water, though, so i added gelatin to solidify it the next time. Shrimp liked it, snails still wont touch it.
I'm worried at this point that they'll starve. I'm scared to overdose bacter ae due to a bba outbreak the first time I dosed it, so I've been conservative. I can try to add more, but I dont know if that'll grow biofilm fast enough. What can I do to get them to eat?
