I recently reported my rapist to a detective. It was a historical assault as it happened eight years ago, the detective has been so kind. According to him my rapist has two other accusations. He said he would bring my case to the DA, and now I'm just kindof waiting to hear back...

I was wondering if anyone has gone through reporting and has had your case brought to a DA. What was your experience? Did they end up charging the person? Did you go to court? How long was the process?
