Community Advice Needed - What do I do?
How should i feel / what should I do in this situation? I am an incoming med student and my potential roommate, who i have already found a place with (no leases signed yet) seems nice. I met him when touring apartments, he's also from the same city I am so I got food with him then and he was normal, nice, and seemed like a great fit for a roommate. I went to the gym with him and same deal. We went to tour apartments and I brought my girlfriend. She gave him the green flag; he seemed normal and very cordial. Fast forward to yesterday and he sent a request to follow my girlfriend on what seems to be his old Instagram account, which was full of racist, misogynistic memes, with the newest being from 2019. It had his name on the account, the school tagged, it was public, pictures of him, his little brother followed it; it is beyond any doubt that it is his.
- The content is jarring and 2. why is he trying to follow my girlfriend on this and not me? My girlfriend sent the account to him asking if it was him. He replied the next morning to her asking "what account," with the page taken down. We took screenshots but no screen recordings. He also hit me up at the same time asking when I want to next go to the gym. It's already mid-May and a lot of the apartments and potential roommate pool are probably taken up. Opinions?
