I’m honestly speechless it’s summer vacation and my school sent this message today I’m just going to copy paste exactly what they wrote

"Dear Parents,

We hope your ward [My Name] is keeping well and enjoying the summer vacation. It is requested that you ensure she consumes ample water and remains adequately hydrated at all times.

With regard to the uniform policy changes for the upcoming academic session, kindly note that the length of the skirt shall not exceed 1 to 1.5 inches above the knee. Additionally, it is mandatory for your ward to wear only white or skin coloured undergarments. You are requested to strictly adhere to these guidelines in order to maintain a safe and conducive environment for your ward.

Thank you for your cooperation."

They sent this only to the girls the boys just got some generic message about ironing their uniforms and getting a proper haircut but for us they’re literally specifying our skirt length & telling our parents what colour underwear we should wear??

How is this creating a safer environment? Safer for who? why is my school even thinking about or mentioning the colour of our panties? This is so invasive creepy and humiliating tbh...

The parents whatsapp group is already exploding so many parents are triggered and questioning the school why they’re selecting underwear colours for teenage girls some are saying this is completely inappropriate and crossing all limits

I’m so angry yaar.. Indian schools already treat girls like we’re problems that need to be covered and controlled but this is next level i feel so uncomfortable and disgusted

What should we even do about this?

I heard a story from my friend that genuinely left me furious and disturbed

She was coming to school on her cycle like any normal day At a red light she stopped behind a bike with two guys who looked like college students nothing suspicious at first the moment the light turned green instead of just going ahead these creeps deliberately slowed down their bike so they were just in front of her cycle then they started adjusting the side mirror in such a way that he could look up her skirt (we wear skirts as part of our school uniform)

My friend noticed and tried to slow down and create some distance but by then one of the guys turned his head back completely looked at her gave a disgusting smirk and then sped off

Like… what the actual hell is wrong with some men in this country?

This wasn’t some dark alley at midnight this was broad daylight at a traffic signal in front of a school going girl on a damn cycle they didn’t even care that she was clearly a student in uniform the level of entitlement and shamelessness is actually insane at this point

Are we just supposed to accept that this is normal now? That girls can’t even cycle to school without some perverts trying to look up their skirts in traffic? How low have we fallen as a society?

I’m genuinely angry and disgusted. This kind of casual perversion has become way too common and it’s honestly scary tbh..
