Isn’t it funny how moments in life can affect you in such a impactful way? Repeated comments on my appearance over the years by friends, colleagues and family, bullying in early years and the impact and behaviours of others can - intentionally or unintentionally - create a distinct lack of inner self confidence.

The process of simply pointing a lens at my face and taking a ‘selfie’ is something that is massively out of my comfort zone, particularly as - to me - the net result highlights my self perceived faults. Posting the result in a forum setting means taking - for me -an even bigger brave pill…
