How to stop my hair from matting and sticking to eachother every time it goes wet then dry?

Any type of product I've used seemed to make it worse for me even the ones that worked with many other girls with afro hair like Knot On My Wash leave-in.

I also tried a strong clarifying shampoo and it didnt seem to work.

Its so frustrating especially that i spend too much time detangling my hair.

And detangling brushes intensely break off my hair even with slippery products on water-dripping hair. idk what to do.

I finger detangle first then detangle with a brush from bottom to top. Detangling work on my hair better when it's dry.
