Platelets started elevating last year of August and it’s currently at 510,000. LDH is 241. I have been recently diagnosed of MPN ET (diagnosis by symptoms and jak2 test only). No further testing yet as the doctor advised to only “monitor” my case.

Is it normal that my spleen is still in normal size since last year after my platelets started going up?

My liver size last year was normal. It increased into 17.2cm lately with smooth surface, patent portal vein all normal except the size. (But I’m absolutely heavy - BMI is around 40-45 since last year)

I’m afraid It’s progressing to MF based on my research online (hepatomegaly due to the liver taking over blood function)

I’m 26m from Philippines. BMI is around 45 (yes, I’m huge). I’ll be seeing my physician in a few days.

I’ve had elevated platelets since August of last year. As usual, doctors dismissed 3 consecutive cbc with high platelet count until last 1st week of April 2026 where I’ve had enough. I really knew to myself that something is not right - and I’m afraid I have lymphoma because I had a pea-sized lump under my right armpit (turns out as cyst).

I specifically consulted a hematologist to vent out about my armpit lump and I opened up about my platelet issue. The doctor immediately tested me for jak2, ldh, chest and whole abdomen contrasted ct scan. Jak2 came as detected and my ldh is 241 which is above normal. Ct scan showed enlarged liver (17cm) and few to enlarged lower right abdomen lymph nodes (1.2cm as the largest). My spleen is in normal size.

A 0.3-0.5cm nodule is spotted in the right lobe of my lungs (if that matters). My MRI also showed wear and tear in my lumbar and cervical spine.

Recently, I’ve been feeling this burning sensation in my right arm (not hands) and the usual fatigue even with 8 hours of sleep.

Does anyone of you have the same situation as me? whereas having a burning arm sensation, swollen abdominal lymph nodes?
