Looking for recommendations specifically for contact eye exams. My insurance only pays for exams for glasses, so this will be all out of pocket.

In the past, I've used Eye Surgeons Associates and found them to have very long wait times, charge ridiculously high prices, and pushed "up charges" for additional tests that I kept telling them I had already had (I guess they thought I was lying?)

On the other end of the spectrum, I've used the doc at America's Best. There I found he couldn't find contacts that were my exact prescription (I have astigmatism in both eyes, one worse than the other), and so he would adjust the numbers to get a "fit." Did you know online companies will only allow you to order whatever brand the doc writes on the prescription? Not just the numbers, the BRAND? Ugh.

Please help. I'd like to find a decent place who isn't going to charge me $300 to look at my old ass eyes (I got progressives for the first time last fall😣), but who is going to find me contacts that I can actually wear and SEE! Tyia
