Stressed about messages received this morning
Hey all, so I (M, 30) just received a string of text messages with a full image of body (bottom half covered), an image of just my lower half fully nude and an image of myself and someone being intimate. The additional messages included names and numbers of friends and family members with the images que’d up and ready to send to their cellphones. The threat was that unless I send this person 1000 dollars they would send the images to these people and my places of business and work.
I was communicating initially with this person on a hookup app and stupidly shared my phone number and first name.
I screenshotted everything then reported the number for spam but I’m really nervous. I also turned my instagram on private. I’m too scared of my family members getting my nudes but more so my place of work. Did I do the right thing? Is there a way to report the number they used, even though I’m pretty sure it’s just a google/made number? Sorry but shaken up right now.
