hi seniors I wanted to know I can get mnnit civil easily getting mostly core branches in mid NITs mech and all people told me civil is easy and chill but I want to prep for IT placements how many companies do let civil people sit for placements and I am okay to put great efforts into DSA and comp coding but if companies would sort me out just for being from core should I take IIITs or do companies allow if you have good skills or even minors in CS after 2nd sem. pls help me out what to do

as the title and also fellow jee asp what's your percentile and what do u think the cutoff would come down to just random guess.
