Civil in mnnit for IT placements good choice?

hi seniors I wanted to know I can get mnnit civil easily getting mostly core branches in mid NITs mech and all people told me civil is easy and chill but I want to prep for IT placements how many companies do let civil people sit for placements and I am okay to put great efforts into DSA and comp coding but if companies would sort me out just for being from core should I take IIITs or do companies allow if you have good skills or even minors in CS after 2nd sem. pls help me out what to do

these are my options for NIT and IIIT i don’t know what would eb my best options, im okay with doing GATE for PSU or mtech and have no problem in taking core but only if i can do dsa and ds with it on side and also tell if core branches students are allowed to sit in IT placements
