This is from last year May Long that I've yet to show off. Didn't land anything in season on our first trip out last weekend unfortunately but I've seen others had better luck!
I'm not sure if it's just me, but the cyclops is a bit of a nuisance. At first I liked it, but as I started to see pics of older models vis a vis people removing theirs and posting them here, I began to really like the look of it without.
So I took the plunge and took mine off. I tried a couple methods but ultimately a butane torch with a concentrated flame is what did it. No visible or functional damage to the watch whatsoever (I posted a pic on here).
Not only do I like the look and feel better, but I find that I can actually see the date a lot better too. With the cyclops, you have to get the right angle and I swear sometimes I'd have to use one eye.
There's no good way to gage the response. A poll would probably be the best way but Reddit doesn't allow that.
