Hi there!

A while ago I reached out about crocheting a jumbo Weebee doll. Well, I've now completed said doll but I'm stuck on how to do the hair. I'm looking to do the hairstyle of the character in the last image.

I've tried to do the hair by chaining a certain amount (haven't counted, I just eyeball it), slip stitching into the second chain from the hook, single crocheting into the next chain to make a point and then double crocheting down to the end before slip-stitching it back to the hairline.

However, I don't like the way this sits on the head. It looks too swept-back and neat, if that makes sense?

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this? Should I slip-stitch the hair pieces back a round rather than to the hairline? Should I try a different stitch/method? Open to any and all suggestions here. Thank you!
